Summer Camp


Camp Information

The “Special Investigators” summer camp at Suntree Country Club is designed to actively engage each child through various activities and games. During the course of the week, campers will participate in indoor/outdoor activities, arts & crafts, golf & tennis instruction, as well as swimming every day! Campers will work together in assigned teams to solve the week’s mystery. By working together, campers will earn clues that will lead them to solve the mystery.

Only 50 campers will be enrolled per week in order to provide a more rich environment. Once all spots are filled for a session, a first-come basis waiting list will be available. If a spot opens, you will be notified via email. 

Hours of Operation
Regular Hours- 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Extended Care- 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (Additional fees apply.)

Field Trip Information
Field trips will take place on Thursday, going to places such as the Orlando Science Center, WonderWorks, Sebastian Inlet Tide Pool, Andretti’s Thrill Park, and more! Space on the bus for parents is not guaranteed and, but available, a $20.00 bus fee will be added to the amount due for that week of camp. Parents are solely responsible for purchasing admission tickets, if applicable.  If you are interested in attending any of the field trips, please email Hannah.Fullem@Suntree.com


Please Note: In order for any campers to attend the field trip, they must attend at least 3 days of camp. 

Staffing Information
The Junior Programs staff goes through an extensive hiring process to ensure the safety of your children. Suntree Country Club is a drug-free work environment, all counselors are at least 18 years old, AED/CPR certified through the American Heart Association, and are subject to a national background screening. Prior to camp, all counselors go through a training process to better their skills and abilities when working with children.

BILLING INFORMATION: Member accounts will be submitted for billing every Friday & the charge will be reflected on your monthly statement.

BILLING INFORMATION: Payment for non-members must be paid in-full on Monday morning, or first day of camp for child. If payment is not received by the afternoon of that day, your child will not be allowed to return to camp until the amount is paid. Checks should be made payable to: Suntree Country Club.
 
Daily Rates
Daily rates are applied to those who attend camp 3 days or less and will be billed at the appropriate daily rate. Daily rates are not subject to a discount for additional children, each child will be charged at the same rate.

Summer Swim Program

Suntree Country Club’s Junior Swim Team prides itself in advancing your child’s swimming technique in a fun and friendly environment. Accommodating all skill levels, your child has the option to participate in competitive swim meets or simply enjoy the sport of swimming in a team setting. This program is a great way to keep your children active over the summer.

 
"Super Saturday" Swim Registration:

Summer swim season is back and better than ever! During the swim clinics parents will be able to register & pay, order swim gear, and meet with the program director & instructor to learn more about the summer swim program! Payment Information:
Member accounts will be billed at the end of May for the entire summer season. 

Non-members are to bring payment in-full to any of the "Super Saturday" Swim Clinics. Checks & money orders are the only form of payment that will be accepted. The only time cash will be acceptable is for the swim clinics.

Kids' Club

Having trouble finding a reliable source of child care? Kids’ Club is held every Saturday evening from 6 pm to 10 pm in the clubhouse. Your children will get the chance to interact with their peers by participating in engaging activities, arts & crafts, and dinner.

There are also special events planned throughout the year which include an Easter egg hunt, Brunch with Santa, etiquette classes, cooking classes, swim lessons and movies by the pool, camping trips, and much more.

It’s time to make plans once again for the 2017 Suntree Junior Summer Academies.  The Golf and Tennis Academies will be held throughout the summer to offer a complete day program that will include professional golf and tennis instruction each day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Any Suntree golf, tennis or social member will have priority for signing up for the Academies.  The grandchildren of Suntree members are also encouraged to attend.

Tuition
Beginning Camp Tuition
 
$278.20* for the weeklong academy to include 4 half days of golf and 4 half days of tennis
(Golf and Tennis from 8:00 to 4:00 p.m.) 
$165.85* for a ½ day program of Golf 8:00-11:30 a.m.
$155.15* for a ½ day program of Tennis 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
If space is available, guests are allowed to participate at a cost of $315.65* for each session and $197.95*for a 1/2day program of golf or $187.25* for afternoon tennis.  Those children attending the all day program will be served lunch between 11:30 -1:00 p.m.  Supervised swimming will also be available during the lunch break for those interested. (Please bring necessary swimwear and towel).

Advanced Camp Tuition
 
$197.95* for a ½ day advanced camp (must be able to play 9 holes without adult supervision). If space is available, guests are allowed to participate at a cost of $240.75* for each session.

Elite Camp Tuition

$481.50* If space is available, guests are allowed to participate at a cost of $588.50* for each session. Elite Camp is limited to the first 10 players.

Session Information

Beginning Camp Curriculum

The Golf Academy will include instruction from the PGA Golf Professional staff.  This will include time on the practice range, covering the fundamentals of the game (grip, aim, stance, posture and full swing drills). Later sessions will cover pitching, chipping, sand shots and putting?  Golf etiquette and rules will be stressed throughout the academy.  Each participant in the Golf Academy will receive an achievement certificate, fruit, cookies and drinks at scheduled break intervals.  Also, every child will receive a Suntree Golf and Tennis Academy gift.  If your junior golfer does not own clubs, clubs will be supplied at no charge.
 
 

Advanced Camp Curriculum

The Golf Academy will include instruction from the PGA Golf Professional staff.  This will include time on the practice range, covering the fundamentals of the game (grip, aim, stance, posture and full swing drills). The camp will also include developing a pre shot routine, video analysis, course management, rules seminar, and reinforcing proper etiquette.   Each participant in the Golf Academy will receive fruit, cookies and drinks at scheduled break intervals.  Also, every child will receive a Suntree Golf and Tennis Academy gift and contest prizes.  If your junior golfer does not own clubs, clubs will be supplied at no charge.  

Elite Camp Curriculum
 
The elite camp is designed for those more experienced tournament players looking to play in high school and maybe one day college. The camp will be hosted by former PGA Tour Player and General Manager Steve Lamontagne and Head Golf Professional Brent Naylor. During the four days players will play four rounds of golf, two days will be dedicated travel days. Players will also be able to analyze their swing on video and learn different drills to help improve their game. While on the course players will learn course management strategies that will last them a lifetime. This is a great opportunity for high school players to be on the top of their game at the beginning of the season.
 

PGA Golf Program

The Golf Academy will include instruction from the PGA Golf Professional staff.  This will include time on the practice range, covering the fundamentals of the game (stance, grip and full swing drills). Later sessions will cover pitching, chipping, sand shots and putting?  Golf etiquette and rules will be stressed throughout the academy.  Each participant in the Golf Academy will receive a rulebook, an achievement certificate, fruit, cookies and drinks at scheduled break intervals.  Also, every child will receive a Suntree Golf and Tennis Academy gift.  If your junior golfer does not own clubs, an iron and a wood will be available for their use in the Junior Academy.
 

USPTA Tennis Program

The Tennis Academy will include instruction from the USPTA certified professional staff.  It also includes hand-eye coordination drills, hitting drills, footwork drills, supervised match plan and plenty of fun!  Racquets and sunscreen are also available to juniors who need them.  Participants in the Tennis Academy will receive a certificate, fruit, cookies and drinks at scheduled break intervals and a Suntree Golf and Tennis Academy gift.
 

The Dress Code

Clothing should be appropriate for a private country club.  Every junior and parent will be expected to follow the guidelines of the Suntree membership.  No sandals or flip-flops. Suntree Country Club’s Professional Staff are experienced in junior golf and tennis instruction and will teach your child the fundamentals and traditions of the game. Children should be no younger than 6 years of age.
